    My name is REDACTED have been helped by U Matter 2 financially, physically, spiritually, and mentally. They helped us physically by buying groceries when we needed it. I was out of a job due to quitting and couldn't get one fast enough to help pay for bills and food. We used up what little savings we had to get by and with them helping pay for groceries it took the mental weight off of us wondering if we can pay bills and have food. We were able to pay bills that we would not have been able to without their help. They helped us spiritually by reminding us that God has a way helping those who are in need. When we needed help U Matter 2 was there to help and we believe they are a wonderful organization for our veterans and their families in need. Having helped with U Matter 2 and seeing what they do is amazing. I never would have thought we would have needed help, but when we did it was a blessing to have been helped by U Matter 2 and to meet all the great new friends we have made.

  • I am a retired Army veteran of 21 years.  I became medically disabled in 2016.  Since then, I have suffered several different mentally detrimental events.  I would sit and stare at 4 walls.  I gained over 100 pounds. And my quality of life was at an all-time low.  I even received a 70% disability rating from the VA.

    I was asked to help U Matter 2 in the summer of 2022, with a quilt to raffle for a fundraiser.  I knew nothing of them.  I did go to the fundraiser to see what kind of group they were and what they were all about.  I found them to be very welcoming and committed to veterans.  I then joined their Facebook page to see all they do.  I found that they are true to their word in helping veterans in any way they could.  And when they couldn’t, they found resources to send them to.  After watching it for almost a year, I wanted in.  I love what they do, and I wanted to be a part of this great organization.

    I joined as a volunteer and started helping where I could.  By July I was fully dedicated to U Matter 2 Inc.  I made another quilt to be raffled, assisted with the Ride.  The feeling I have when around these people is like no other.  I now have a purpose, a reason to get up and get going, a better outlook on life.  Yes, U matter 2 Inc. has helped me come out of a major depression, keeps me busy so I don’t have time for negative thoughts, and gave me a support system I wish I had years ago.  As a veteran helping veterans, there is no greater feeling than that of appreciation. 

    I’ve been prayed for and sent several prayers for those in need.  I have given, so other veterans can have.  I love paying it forward and U Matter 2 Inc. is an excellent example to follow.  And the connection with other veterans is amazing.  We share stories, can relate to each other, share a common bond, and found a new family.  I am forever grateful for all that U Matter 2 Inc. does for our veterans.
