Scott G. Henry

Age 45, Plymouth Indiana

After graduating from Plymouth High School in 1987, he attended his Master of Art degree and his Bachelors in Psychology from Ashford University.

In 1990, he enlisted and served in the US Army. He was an artist in his heart and soul. He enjoyed writing. He became ordained as a minister and married four couples. He had dreams of opening his own church. Scott had the gentlest soul and had a love for everyone. However, his dog Buddy, had a special place in his heart. Scott passed away after an extended illness on May 12, 2015.

Our mission is simple: U Matter 2 Inc. is a 501 (C) (3) nonprofit founded by Sylvia and Chad King in 2016. For over nine years our simple mission is to "Serve One Veteran / First Responder At A Time!" Many  are struggling with PTSD, unemployment, homelessness, and other issues as they try to find their way in our world. Our message is: "You are not alone!"  We demonstrate this daily, by assisting with transportation and housing needs, including providing furniture, food, and financial assistance for utilities, and other essentials, helping them find employment, and delivering and serving holiday meals and gifts.

Monday through Friday --  9a-5p.

Saturday, Sunday and Holidays -- Emergency case by case.

Sponsor a "Chick", Feed a Veteran or 1st Responder

Our vision is to empower Veterans and 1st Responders with a sustainable source of protein through chicken farming. It has evolved into something truly remarkable. Our Veterans have been instrumental in helping us raise these chickens, and in doing so, have found a renewed sense of purpose. Witnessing the bond between these Veterans and the chickens is a heartwarming experience. This program's success is a testament to the power of collaboration and the generosity of our sponsors. Here is a list of supplies we could use: Egg cartons, Chick start, Scratch feed, Corn feed, Pine shavings for bedding.

We are blown away by J.R. Veteran Advocacy, True top 1%. This magnificent artwork was crafted using a bottle, a true testament to the artist's skill. The painting incorporates the transition of our logos. It represents our growth as an organization. This item is valued at $ 5000.00. It comes with a letter of authenticity, signed by Jr the artist. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to J.R. Veteran Advocacy for their unwavering support of U Matter 2 over the years. Our partnership is a shining example of the power of collaboration and a true blessing.

We are here to serve.

We will need the fully completed  Request for Assistance form and a readable copy of your DD-214 for our Veterans sent to our email at umatter2022@yahoo.com.

We cannot move forward with your request until we have these documents and a full understanding of what you are requesting. Once we have these documents, the Board of Directors will review the request. We will then contact you with our decision.

Please keep in mind that we do not offer:

Legal service or advise.

Major vehicle engine repairs.

Major structural repairs to buildings.

Major plumbing or electrical repairs.

Our 2025 Mission Count 

Thank you to all the Staff, Supporters and Volunteers that have helped us serve them.

In 2024 the funds we raised were used for the following missions:

• Acquiring and delivering food and essentials to Veterans in need.
• Assisting Veterans with finding homes, employment, and further resources available.
• Assisted with fuel, rent, utilities, storage, and security deposit needs.
• Help with parts and repairs to Veterans vehicles to travel back and forth to work.
• On Veterans Day, we offered a free meal at Lakeville American Legion.
• Assisting Veterans moving from homeless to homes with furniture, linens, and other household items.
• Provide the items for a Thanksgiving meal to 20 Veterans and their families.
• Provide Christmas for Veterans in the nursing home.  They received handmade lap quilts and more.
• Launched Operation Sight. Which assists with emergency glasses and appointments.
